Here $F_{\rm external}$ are the external forces resulting from bounda_force records, $F_{\rm static}$ are the internal static forces (elastic forces, ..), $F_{\rm inertia}$ are the internal inertia forces (mass, capacity, ..) and $F_{\rm damping}$ are the internal damping forces.

For the temperature equation, this will give the heat flow normal to the outer surface (the heat flux to the environment) at prescribed temperatures. For velocity unknowns, this will give the force vector at prescribed displacements. For the pressure in the ground flow equation, this will give the ground flow to the environment at prescribed pressures.
